YOUR DETAILS

A little information.
A clear purpose.

Site Sanity Check provides independent website reviews. This notice explains how the service handles review requests and messages sent through the contact form.

What we collect and why

We collect your website address and email address so we can review the public website, contact you about your request and email your report. The review form also records the type of check requested and the version of this notice. If you use the contact form, we collect your email and message so we can respond. Please don’t include passwords, private links or confidential information.

The legal basis for handling these details is taking steps at your request before providing the service. Requesting a check does not sign you up to a newsletter or marketing emails.

Who handles your request

Site Sanity Check handles your request. Formspree processes and stores form submissions and sends a notification to the service inbox. Render hosts the website. These providers may process technical information such as an IP address and browser information to operate their services and prevent abuse.

See Formspree’s privacy policy and Render’s privacy policy for their handling of information, including processing outside the UK. Information is not sold or shared for other businesses’ marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep review requests, contact messages, related emails and reports for up to six months after our last contact, so we can deliver the review and answer follow-up questions. We then delete them from the service inbox and submission records, unless we need to retain them to meet a legal obligation or you have agreed to further work.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not add advertising cookies or visitor analytics. Our hosting and form providers may keep operational or security logs and use measures to prevent spam. We do not use browser storage to save your form details. Your browser’s own autofill settings may remember information you enter.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or ask about restricting or objecting to its use. You may also have a right to a portable copy of your information. Use our contact form for these requests.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your details, please contact us first. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
